Jakarta - The Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 (PIK2) area is once again showcasing its status as an international standard destination. One of its latest prides is the PIK2 Central Business District (CBD), which stands on an area of approximately 400 hectares with a lake covering approximately 14 hectares, extensive green pedestrian paths, and art installations that enhance the esthetic value of every corner of the area. Its beauty, comfort, and infrastructure make CBD PIK2 one of the most prestigious and futuristic areas in Indonesia. 

Amidst the grandeur of this area stands the SPIKE Air Dome, the largest and first air dome structure in Southeast Asia. Its presence is not just as a new facility, but also as an icon of innovation, solidifying PIK2 as a global event center. It was this extraordinary capability that led to the selection of the SPIKE Air Dome as the closing venue for the 2025 International Quran Memorization Competition (MHQ) for the Visually Impaired on December 6, 2025. This prestigious event features blind hafiz from 12 countries. Approximately 3,500 guests filled the magnificent Air Dome arena, creating a solemn atmosphere as the recitation of holy verses echoed under the giant air dome. 

The event was also attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Syaikh Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa, and the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, Ahmad Muzani. Their presence confirms that the infrastructure provided by PIK2, particularly thru the SPIKE Air Dome, has met high standards for international events. In his closing remarks, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar also invited all guests to pray for the victims of the flash floods in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, demonstrating that the moment of togetherness at the SPIKE Air Dome also served as a space for national solidarity. 

The hosting of the International MHQ for the Visually Impaired at PIK2 proves that this area has everything needed to become a global activity center, from modern MICE facilities and iconic tourist destinations like white sand beaches and the Greenbelt, to premium residences and apartments, and strategic access to the airport and city center. This entire experience makes PIK2 not just a place to live or a recreational destination, but a world-class destination ready to host international events to the highest standards.

"My hope after attending this event is that it will build our motivation to love and be closer to the Quran," he said enthusiastically.
